Arroyo has owned the Cubs this year with the arm and the bat and he has gone at least 5.2 IP in each on his last 10 starts

Cedeno in the 2 spot? Why am I not surprised.

With this lineup, it doesn't much matter if Cedeno is the 2 spot or Murton gets moved there, with Moore batting 5th and Izturis batting 6th. There really isn't a good way to construct a lineup with all the hitters that are in it right now.

Gameday says Mateo left the game due to an injured back...too much peeking over Z' shoulder while he surfed for online porn? For shame, young man...

Oh, and the Cedeno watch for today has a caught stealing and grounded into a double play. Stay tuned!

I can't wait to hear the fallout from this one. Here's what I'm expecting:

"Dude was trying to carry this team on his back," said Cubs manager Dusty Baker. "Mateo, he's a gamer, you know? After he scored the winning run a couple of days ago, he told me his back was in agonizing pain and he was coughing up spinal fluid. But I could see it in his eyes that he wanted to go out there and pitch, so who was I to deny him?"
