Well we left michigan at about 1:00 PM (12:00 Chicago Time) and we got to the shuttles by Devry at around 4:00 PM (Chicago Time). Took the shuttle, got out and took pictures and walked around the stadium. Great great ballpark. Cubs have always been one of my favorite teams a long with the Detroit Tigers and Keery Wood is my alltime favorite player (Zumaya, and Verlander are catching up though) . Anyway we had the best seats i have ever had for a pro baseball game. 8 Rows behind the catcher. 4 Seats at $54.00 a piece for free. Anyway i was glad they had Derek Lee, Juan Pierre, and A-Ram in the line-up. We wanted a game with a lot of offense that went quick.

The games was exciting be uneventful untill the top of the 8th. I though Hill should have been took out after the first walk when he had 105 pitches. But knowing Baker and his ability to destroy pitchers carrers it was not surprising they left him in. I did not know it was so hard for a team to field bunts. Ronny Cedeno is absolutely horrible throwing the ball.

Anyway 2-1 pitt in the bottom of the 8th then it got exciting. Bases Loaded and A-Ram came up and hit a rope but caught. Great baserunning by Pierre to stay out of two.

Lee came up and i told my friend, Bases Loaded with D Lee coming up. I'm using the video on my Digital Camera to get it. I did not realize it was his birthday untill after the game when some drunk told me. Anyway great day, got back too michigan at 3:00 Am. And that was that.

I don't remember mine...but probably because I was 2. That reminds me, I need to send my dad a nasty email sarcastically thanking him for making me a Cubs fan

My first game at Wrigley was July 4th 2000. I remember Rick Aguliera blowing the save against the Pirates. Then some fan shouted "I will never come here again". I went this year when Guzman made his debut against the Marlins. After the game I went into one of the little stores in Wrigley. As I looked at the wall I saw Wood, Prior's, Zambrano's, Lee's, and Nomar's jersey hanging on the wall. I shouted "DL , DL, soon to be on the DL, DL, and not even on the team anymore. I thought it was funny. :D

Yeah, I'm a huge Wood fan. As much as i love him in a cubs uniform i hope the tigers get him. I doubt it. But it seems every time a player leaves the cubs they bat .330 hit 30 Home Runs or Win 20 games. I think the cubs will buy him out though.

D-Lee Video.

That's awesome!!!

I love videos like that. Youtube has some great videos of Barrett's grand slam vs the Card in April that consist of people going nuts.

Glad you had fun!!

I bet it won't be the first sarcastic email he's received on the subject. :)

Late April/Early May of 1993. Don't remember who pitched, only that the Reds scored 1 in the top of the 1st, then no scoring until the Cubs scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th. It was also high 60's and sunny, so we wore shorts and light jackets, but sat in the shade the whole time and froze.

August 8, 1989. Maddux threw a CG against the then 1st place Expos. That night, the Cubs tied for first and went into 1st the next day and never looked back.

Ryno went yard that night, as did Mark Grace.

I was only 12 years old and I as scaled the steps to the grandstands my breath was taken away at the sight of the bright green grass and flowing ivy covered walls.

2003 - Cubs lose 3-0 to the Phillies

Aramis and Lofton make their Cubs debut's and go 0-8 combined

Thome and Rick Ledee homer for the Phils

Clement gets the loss.

Aramis later makes up for it for me this year in Washington when he goes upper twice, but our pen still loses it :x
