And it will still sell out.

Do the individual teams sell the tickets? Could the Cubs use their ticket scalping service to raise the price even more?

I wish we could find out!

You buy the seats from the teams, but the prices are "mandated" by MLB. My bleacher seats (Busch) are $12 per seat during the regular season. They'll be $40 or so for the NLDS, $60-$75 for the NLCS and then $100-$150 for the WS...not that I'll have to worry about it either.

My buddy and I who have Tigers season tickets (21 game plan) just received our invoice for playoff tickets. Our seats for the season are 3rd base side 5th row (outfield box) that cost us $24 a game per seat. We have been moved to the RF grandstands 10th row, and the price for all the games is $1400 per seat. It's beautiful. :?

The $1400 would cover all playoff games, would it not? Therefore, the price per game would be somewhere around $127.

You are correct sir. That's the price for seats that go for $8 during the season. The really nice part is another friend of mine has seats in the upper deck, and they moved him to BETTER seats than he normally has. He actually is sitting in the section of my season tickets. It's comforting to know that there is absolutely no rationale to how in the hell they are assigning seats.

I know the Braves don't, but is it pretty certain that other team's playoff games will sellout?

The Cardinals games always do, but as bad as they are, at least right now, I could see there not being a ton of demand for the first round. (If they get there)

Really? I would imagine that the tickets would go very quickly, being that it's the first playoff series in the new stadium. You'd know more about the demand than I would though.

No, really I don't know. But gauging the feelings of people down here right now, I wouldn't be as confident in a sellout as I have in the past. However, the "new" stadium is a wildcard in the whole thing.
