Since we're not getting draft picks for departing FA, getting that top pick has become priority #1 for the season. I know Dusty is up to the challenge. Who else can throw 3 straight games to the Pirates?

The Cubs start a pivotal three game series against the Giants today. If the Cubs continue to play inspire baseball, then this should be a great sweep for the Giants. We need Dusty at his best for it to work.

Come on Dusty, make these strange, and unlogical hunches from the gut backfire. We need every loss we can get,

Doesn't look promising today. 5-0 Cubs, with Hill shutting the Giants down.

While I'm rooting for the Cubs to keep losing, I can't do that when Hill is pitching. I want him to keep showing that he belongs on the club next year. I feel like the Cubs don't have enough faith in him and it wouldn't take much for them to write him out of the equation for 2007.

I definitely want Hill to do well. One way to get the best of both worlds would have been for Hill to have pitched well but the bullpen blow the game. The Cubs just had too big of a lead for that to happen today, though. That darn Riot. :D

Would losing 4-0 but throwing a no-hitter and just a walk or 2 be too much to ask? Throw in a few horrible plays by Jones and Pierre making the errors and causing the runs to score. Evidently.

Way to go Hill. Show em you belong. We need the trade value.
