The Cubs have not had the most different pitchers make starts this year. Not surprisingly, the Royals have had 16 different pitchers take the mound to start the game.

To make room for Walrond on the 25-man roster the Cubs optioned Ryu back to Iowa. To make room on the 40-man they transferred Wood to the 60-day DL.
