Jesus, Wood. Got to either get that to Wondo 2 seconds earlier or put it in yourself.

suuuuuch an easy pass

It disturbs me more that he was scared to not just blast it at goal from 6 yards away.

Quite an awkward hug between Donovan and Klinsmann

He's a better person than I am. Not sure I could have done that. I bet he wanted to walk right past Klinsmann so badly.

EDIT: Just watched the highlights of all 57 goals ESPN put up. Fitting his last goal was in a 2-0 qualifying win against Mexico (as was his first goal). Six goals against Mexico in all.

Going through old Landon highlights...

Remember when Charlie Davies was a thing? Dude was supposed to be up top with Jozy for a decade. Scored a nice goal at the Azteca in qualifying and had a good Confederations Cup. That one still hurts.

This was my exact thought last night. Almost a little happy he didn't score.

He's been looking good for the Revs. Not '09 good, but good.

Yeah, Davies has kind of reinvented himself a bit. It's a minor miracle the guy is even alive, let alone still playing professionally.

I was out of town all weekend and just watched the condensed SSFC/VWFC game...Jair Marrufo is a garbage ref, and Vancouver are a bunch of talentless hacks.

Seattle really needs Dallas to do them a solid today and beat LA, because I don't see Seattle getting 4 out of 6 against LAG.

Thank you, Dallas.

I still think LA is not only the better team but specifically a terrible matchup for Seattle, but it's MLS and crazy, fun stuff happens in MLS. Seattle might hold on. Can't wait for the 25th. The only way Seattle takes them in the playoffs is if they can hold possession through the center midfield and keep LA off the break, which is pretty impossible. Great matchups all over the field. Omar and De La Garza on Deuce and Martens. Landon and RR vs Yedlin and Evans. Alonso and Pappa or Pineda vs Juninho and Husidic or Sarvas. The tipping point is Keane and Zardes against Mashall and whichever traffic cone they run out to pair him. That's going to be a nightmare.

Man. Jurgen Klinsmann is on the muscle re: MLS. Can't stop talking about how real men wouldn't play there. Guy needs to wake up and be realistic about the talent and socioeconomic goals of his players. Real Madrid ain't calling. Chelsea ain't calling.

He also starting talking about wanting pro / rel in US Soccer the other day and made the claim he couldn't tell what level each league was at. Then talked about the Morris and Ibarra call ups as if that had something to do with anything.

Despite all that, the average player can make 3-4 times as much in the Eredivisie than MLS. However, the lower salaries apply to a lot of the guys who would have a tough time drawing interest in Europe and sticking. If you are good enough to be a DP in the MLS, though, it starts to even out across the board.

Don't even get me started on the Ibarra call up. What a fricking waste. You might as well call up some randos from a Sunday league.

USSF needs to muzzle him. He's an obnoxious ass, and his bit is getting old. A MLS USMNT side would wipe the floor with a Euro one.

Seattle just need to win one of the two, or draw both. I agree that LAG is a terrible matchup for them, as the Seattle midfield is really overrated and positionally unsound.

I am pretty stoked for the playoffs to start. LAG, Seattle, RSL and Dallas all on one side of the bracket with a side of Vancouver or PTFC.
