I haven't seen much discussion of this but there's talk of the '22 WC being moved to the winter to avoid the oppressive heat of the Middle East's summer. I don't think the domestic leagues would be on board with this proposal.

 

I don't see that happening. Make them play in the summer and make Fifa realize what they did.

Soldier Field got stuck with a first round date on June 12th, not even the semifinals or quarterfinals.

 

Same with Dallas. Houston got both semi's. Would have been nice to have the semi's as the US will likely be playing. I just hope we don't get a Canada vs Cuba matchup or some crap like that.

I think they're going to give Milan fits. Their speed could easily be too much for Milan. Especially their older players. Bale, Modric, Lennon, Defoe and the craft and experience of Van Der Vaart, that's pretty nasty.

Charlie Davies will be in uniform for French club Sochaux for the first time since being badly injured in a deadly car accident 14 months ago when Sochaux takes on Bordeaux on Sunday.

 

The club announced the news on Saturday, and Fox Soccer Channel will air the match on Sunday (11am). FSC was originally airing Chelsea vs. Manchester United in that time slot, but with that marquee match-up postponed by heavy snowfall in England, FSC has made the switch and will air Sochaux-Bordeaux.

Finally got to watch the game. The crowd was great tonight for Arsenal. Walcott, Nasri, and van Persie need to be the front 3 for Arsenal going forward. Song was great today too, and Nasri caused a lot of problems. If van Persie can string something together and Cesc can stay healthy they can go on a deep run. Keep Rosicky out of the 11 please, Arshavin should only start to if someone needs to rest.

 

I forgot all about Chamakh. Nevermind what I said about the front 3. Arshavin should probably be sold, Bendtner will be gone soon.
