Get ready for the heir to the Giuseppi Rossi/Nevan Subotic hand wringing throne: http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mode=content&id=5825

Screw the U-20's. You're 18 and getting first team action at Estudiantes, you get to go to the World Cup. Even if only as an observer.

Nice one Robbie, you greedy [expletive]. You only had two guys wide open for easy goals.

The only players that did themselves any favors tonight were Pearce, Ching and Sacha, and the latter only because Bradley will give him as much rope as possible. Maybe Goodison too. I like Brad Davis but he's no shot this cycle.

Everyone else was either anonymous or horrid. Robbie Rogers is just Bobby Convey with different hair. Just a waste of talent with no soccer brain whatsoever. Findley and Cunningham just don't have it. Casey is inferior to Ching in every area except age, and for the role they'd have to play, I'd take Ching. Credit to him-he played like he really, really cared tonight, and it showed. As mediocre as he is at the international level, he was the best player for us tonight. Zombie Heath Pearce at least showed he could provide cover this summer.

I maintain Sacha sucks. With all the gilt-edged chances he had, he was bound to score at some point.

Jesus our B team is bad.

GOALKEEPERS: Tim Howard (Everton), Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Marcus Hahnemann (Wolverhampton).

DEFENDERS: Carlos Bocanegra (Rennes), Jonathan Spector (West Ham), Clarence Goodson (Start), Jay DeMerit (Watford), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Heath Pearce (Dallas), Frank Simek (Sheffield Wednesday).

MIDFIELDERS: Landon Donovan (Everton), Michael Bradley (Moenchengladbach), Stuart Holden (Bolton), Jose Francisco Torres (Pachuca), Maurice Edu (Glasgow Rangers), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers), Alejandro Bedoya (Orebro).

FORWARDS: Jozy Altidore (Hull City), Eddie Johnson (Aris), Robbie Findley (Real Salt Lake).

Good to see Pearce, Simek, Bedoya and DeMerit in the fold. Beasley and EJ...not so much.

Adu is carrying a hamstring injury, FWIW.

If it takes a run out against the Oranje and a complete embarrassment to ensure the death of Zombie Beasley, I'll deal with it.

Chelsea host Manchester City bright and early tomorrow morning on ESPN2 with 1st and 4th place implications.

By the way, ESPN's HD broadcasts of soccer have completely ruined my ability to enjoy FSC broadcasts. Hurry up, DirecTV.

Yeah I don't care to watch FSC at all. If City can pull out a point it is going to be huge.

So I guess it's coming in April. I think FSC+ is imminent on DirecTV but is a la carte like it's earlier incarnation, Setanta.

Dish has had FSC in HD for a couple weeks now.

FSC+ was just announced for DirecTV, Dish, and Verizon FiOS. It'll start Monday.

None of the carriers will have FSC+ in HD. Haven't heard anything new about FSC in HD for DirecTV.

I'd love to get it, but $15 per month, there's not a chance in hell I'm buying FSC+. Between FSC games (plus the highlight show) and the weekly ESPN2 game, I get enough of the Premier League.

Wayne Bridge should have just pulled his hand back and ran it along his hair or something.

I forgot to record this. How was it? Any uncomfortable moments?

Bridge refused to shake Terry's hand prior to the game, the Chelsea fans booed his every touch, and Mancini took him off in the 75th to ensure no further nonsense.
