Watching the highlight show on FSC and I'm trying to figure out exactly how the linesman missed the offsides on Bayern's second goal.

I saw that one live on TV and thought the same thing. It was hard to miss, imho.

It's funny. The guy who screwed up Arsenal's non backpass backpass was the Henry handball red, and the idiot who missed Klose being offside was the guy who handled Barca/Chelsea last year and did a pathetic job.

Freddy scored again today.

My kingdom for an in form, in shape Adu ready to play the instant offense role in June.

He'd be worth taking the same way Brazil should think about taking Ronaldinho - that instant plan B off the bench. Game plan not working? Throw in the guy who can bring that little bit of magic and do something unexpected.

Certainly not what we'd hoped for when we compared Freddy to players like Ronaldinho when he was 14-15, but if he stays in form, you have to take him over people like Kljestan or Findley.

AP[/url]"]SOCHAUX, France — American forward Charlie Davies is back in France and says he's a month from resuming training with Sochaux following a car accident.

The 23-year-old had been rehabilitating in Delaware following a one-vehicle accident Oct. 13 in Virginia that left him with two broken bones in his right leg, a broken and dislocated left elbow, a broken nose, forehead and eye socket, a fracture in his face, a ruptured bladder and bleeding on his brain.

"I've come a long way," he said during a video interview posted Thursday on the team's Web site. "I'd say I'm probably a month away from being able to train with the team regularly, and then I need a little more time to be able to get match-fit again. So, you know, I'd say I'm not too far away from being able to play again."

.......

Davies said he will undertake strength training and hopes to be playing for Sochaux before the Ligue 1 season ends in May. He will go to the Cap Sport Centre in Capbreton next week for rehabilitation.

"I need to get my body back into shape as far as being fit and being able to run again without being so tired," he said.

He has two titanium rods inserted in his right leg and plates and screws in his left elbow as a result of his injuries.

The article also states that the driver was likely drunk during the crash. Not sure if that is news or not, but this is the first time I've heard anything on it.

Club Brugge dealt Valencia their first loss in 18 games in Europe this evening.

The 1-0 win keeps the return leg wide open.

I think they reported that she was at the beginning of the year. I'm still in awe that he could return before the end of the league season with all of the surgery's he has gone through. He shouldn't even be alive today.

Well worth watching.

You can only see from the chest up, but he doesn't exactly look like he nearly died a few months ago.

Yeah, a little smaller in the shoulders and chest, but overall he looks very good.

Just to allow ourselves to dream about him being fully fit in South Africa:

We better not see the squad that faced Honduras last month. For some reason I think we are going to see a lot of Babel. There is a lot of speed on the dutch squad.

The first time I looked at these, I wasn't into it. The more I look at them, the more I like them.

I'm still not sold, but those look better than the original pictures. If the blue is closer to a navy, that will help a lot.

This blue doesn't look right:

Of course, then there's this:

Are they still on pace to debut next month?

That Dutch game is gonna be ugly. Like Germany in 2006 ugly. Like 5-1 ugly. We'd need our full team to make a game out of Holland, away. We are without our 1st choice player at F, RM, and CB. Without our 1st choice pairing for Mikey.

I like the kits as rendered, but want nothing to do with a red 3rd kit.

I think that kit in White and Navy Blue would be very nice.

You'll see the full World Cup squad that's fit in that match in Amsterdam. We're done with trials. It's tune up time now.

We've got a good game going through the first 19 minutes. Some nice energy from Everton. Good to see them rewarded for it.

I'm going to have to pause it and watch a little later, though.

Also, I love soccer in HD. If for no other reason than to see a little kid swearing at the linesman in the 23rd minute.

So MLS players and owners are apparently the dumbest people on earth and are going to risk a labor stoppage in a down economy in a world cup year.

Everton tops ManU and Chelsea in a span of 10 days. Not bad, not bad at all.

Donovan almost got a gift goal but he didn't have enough time to react. I wonder if Landon can push for a permanent move with a work stopage.
