I'd choose Bayern over Chelsea, definitely. If that makes you feel any better.

 

I've felt throughout the entire tournament they were mailing it in. Just a vibe that they thought the UEFA Cup was below them (which it really is). This transfer period will be interesting. I think they need a talismanic midfield captain (like Ballack :( ) to rally the troops in big games. This squad is just too talented to be this inconsistent.

In English news Liverpool may be fixing to swap Crouch for Gareth Barry. Also Gennaro Gattuso claims he would like to like Milan to come play in England next season. Don't see many high profile Italians wanting to leave Italy to come to England. Could maybe be a Man City target, not sure where he would really go.

I really dont see a need for Barry unless Alonso is on his way out. They need a winger, a side back, and maybe another top line striker, all though I would just move Babel up to pair with Torres. But if Alonso goes back to Spain which there is some talk of, I wouldn't mind a midfield of Barry,Gerrard,Mascherano, and a new winger. Then you could have Lucas Leiva, Pennant, and Kuyt come off the bench.
