I like to see Pierre and Izturis go with the pitch. I just don't understand guys that swing at everything with no power not being able to hit an outside pitch the other way.

 

Pierre has been going to left quite a bit, especially over tha last 2 months. Izturis, I don't know about.

 

I've seen Izturis line serveral balls down the left field line in his Cubs career-of course though, we haven't seen enough of him to know anything much about his tendencies.

 

Izturis makes outs to all fields. :twisted:

BOTTOM OF THE FOURTH INNING

 

Lamb singled to center field

Berkman walked

Scott flied out to left center field , Lamb to third, Berkman holding first

Huff doubled to right center field , Lamb & Berkman scored, Huff out at third, 8-4-3-5-3

Everett lined out to first base

 

2 runs 2 hits 0 errors 0 men left on base

What is Brenly talking about? Mabry is being communicated with by Barrett who is telling him to cut or not "Mabry has no idea what's behind him when he made the cut". Also, that throw to second by pagan could have let the guy that tagged from second to third to score by throwing behind the runner. I disagree that it was the right move.

I don't think Mike Lamb has the wheels to score from second on that play.

But if the throw gets away from second it's going the wrong way and Lamb could score. I disagree with that logic.
