I really hate all the adjectives

That the teen (over eighteen) was "sexy," "tan" and "leggy" added to my interest in the story.

I wish I was a major league player...

I could have seen that from the pics.

Hmm, I think I'm going to have to see more pics to decide for sure.

as the bell rings informing her that her 15 minute of fame is over, and her parents completly and utterly embarrassed, bob gucione steps in to offer her a pictoral.

LOL! You know it's only a matter of time!

Considering the history of the Mets from the early 1980s on, this is not as surprising as some of the stories I've read about.

And....I wonder who was coaching this girl....Ryno's EX?

god, i absolutely abhor girls like this.

Freudian?

:D

Anyway, I went to law school with a girl who said she had a thing going with a former Sox reliever whose name I shant mention here. She said he went so far as to introduce her to his wife and his kids at the park one night. He told her that this is a very normal thing for ballplayers and that most wives get it. I stood there in utter disbelief.

Once again I wish I was a MLB player...Man, what a life!

Yeah, I know a girl who had a thing with a pretty famous ballplayer as well, although I don't think she was friendly with the rest of the family. A highly publicized divorce came about around the same time.

I doubt this is anywhere close to Mets-centric. When you think about guys like Benson who married a stripper he met as a player, and how many of these guys actually end up with women who were basically sports groupies, it can hardly be a surprise if some of them go astray with the fresh meat.

Like I said, goony, I'm not surprise. This isn't a bazaar story, in the Mets way. In fact, it's just, 'nother day in Shea...(hehehe Rhyming rocks).

But my point is his affiliation with the Mets has nothing to do with it. It's MLB wide, not to mention, all of pro sports.

One of my favorite conversations at a baseball game happened at one of the night games vs the Mets last year. I was sitting next to a Chicago lawyer who knows a girl who got pregnant by one of the Mets' bullpen guys.

The girl sitting next to me said that one of the Washington Nationals, "a guy named Brad Wilkerson," got one of her friends pregnant.

The best I could do was one of my friends got knocked up by a minor leaguer.

Working for 3 years in a AAA clubhouse I had about 30 or so trips up to the ticket office to quietly add "friend (s)" to the pass list. The GM was not a happy camper when two of the "HOT" friends decided to re-enact the precious evenings adventures while "watching" the game.

I was told that AAA was really tame compared to the Florida leagues and AA. There the groupies would hit on the clubbies hoping to use them as in in to meet the players. Or as the skipper said, "What happens in the clubhouse, on the road, and in your apartments stays there. Someones wife won't understand."

When I saw the Cubs in DC, during the pre-game warmup before the first game, a certain rookie was definitely enjoying the attention of what could only be best described as a "ballpark hoochie," complete with ridicuously short booty shorts.
