Luke Hagerty had like 36 walks in 6 innings last season.

what happened to that guy anyway?

I've been wondering the same thing. He pitched in two games for Daytona early in the year, then was assigned to extended Spring Training. I haven't read anything about him since then.

Are the stats on MiLB.com right for Rafael Dolls?

If so, he's pulling off one unique combination of performances. 14IP, 23K, 13BB, 19H. It's really unusual to see someone that untouchable also be that hittable. Weird. He must come to the point where he just lays it in to throw a strike when he's behind the hitters sometimes.

That will never beat my favorite pitching line, a combination of last year and this year, from former #10 pick overall Joe Torres:

3-14, 91.1 IP, 101 H, 102 ER, 6 HR, 150 BB, 77 K, 18 WP

10.05 ERA

2.75 WHIP

14.78 BB per 9 IP

Truly spectacular

Reminds me of Rich Hill a few years ago....though Rich always had more Ks.

Doesn't have a team listed...no clue if the organization released him or if he's still in extended spring training.

Yeah, Hill's ERA in his early years still hovered around 4.00. He was not nearly as hittable, and his BB/9, although still far too high, was less than half that of Torres. I have to say, Torres seems to have just completely lost it.

Stuff on Dolis
[Dolis] was a shortstop that we converted to pitcher in January of this year. He throws up to 94, 95 miles per hour. He's got a great arm with a good feel and is a guy that can throw real hard.

Click me

Fleita likes the swing of 17 y/o Marwin Gonzalez. He's hitting .190/.264/.266.

Also Robert Hernandez is 17 and should develop into a hard thrower. He's got a sub 2 ERA, but lack of Ks.

Thanks a ton, kc. That's the kind of info I was hoping to get, and likewise the content I was hoping to hear.

That site seems like it would be great, but awfully expensive. Did Fleita mention any of the other Latin or undrafted prospects? I'd guessed that Dolis, Hernandez, and Gonzalez were the three best Latin prospects, based on age, usage, and Dolis's K's.

The other two Latins at Mesa of most interest to me were Carrillo, given his control and low ERA, and Bernard, given his alleged velocity. Carrillo is 19, so perhaps no projection. I'm guessing since you did'nt' mention him, Fleita had nothing to say or at least no enthusiastic scouting projections for Carrillo? Anything on Bernard, or Castillo, or any of the others?

Again, thanks much.

Daily Dish[/url]"]• The Cubs' Mitch Atkins continued his fine season last night for low Class A Peoria. The righthander from Greensboro, N.C. allowed one run over five innings last night while striking out eight to earn the win improve his record to 10-3, 2.52. A seventh-rounder in 2004 out of Northeast Guilford High, Atkins has a 100-40 strikeout-walk ratio in 111 innings and the 20-year-old ranks sixth in the Midwest League in ERA and second in wins.
