Another meaningless game where Z is up well over 100 pitches.

and Dusty's probably going to try and send Zambrano back out there again, if his spot doesn't bat.

how much of a lead do you guys feel is needed to have sent Murton in that situation?

Bob would have sent him.

Why sac bunt if you aren't going to send him? Pagan is so terrible.

I wouldn't have sent him..Encarnacion had good momentum towards the plate on a short fly ball-hindsight shows that Murton would have been out by 10 feet at the plate. Also, Pierre was up next, and he has been hitting so well lately-including two more solid swings today.

Makes you long for Wendell Kim, huh?

How would Murton have been out by 10 feet? The ball was 20 feet up the 3rd base line. He would have scored easily.

Personally i would have let Z hit. Pagan is minor league roster filler.

Yup-I just rewound my Tivo..the catcher caught it about 5 feet up the line-but he was right on the line, and the throw home came so fast that there is no way that Murton would have been there yet. He would have been out easily.

Disagree...but that is okay.

it certainly was more than 5 feet, but certainly wasn't 20. Murton has decent wheels. a good route and Molina has a do or die swipe tag.

there's no way of knowing one way or the other, not sure how anyone can argue for sure either way.

I would agree with that. I'm not arguing the point. It's just my opinion he would have made it.
