I would agree with that too-that's what the game thread is for isn't it? Discussions like these are always fun-especially when the Cubs are winning against the Cardinals! Not much to cheer about this year-at least we can have fun talking about if the 6th run today can score or not when it would take us 5 or 6 games to do that earlier in the year.

I don't think anyone is going to come calling for Nevin in the next 24 hours. At least they won't be offering much for him if they do call.

Nevin sucks...cant even move the runners up..the guys should stop swinging for the fences every at bat

it was obvious from yesterday that Molina tries to force the runner wide. with the tag up play and the straight line that could be taken, it would have been interesting to see if the Cubs were actually coached after a mistake by seeing whether Murton would have taken an inside line.

Hopefully they can get the type of deal they got for Williamson(a low minor leaguer or two). Just something that has even a slim possibility to help the Cubs in the future.

The past innings have look like typical cubs baseball, runners on with no one out or a runner on third with 1 out, Cant move anyone up,strike out, or pop out

Oh, thank goodness this is a tense save situation in a tight pennant chase so Dusty can defend using Dempster 4 straight days and 7 out of the last 8 games.
