I dont think they will be trading for Walker because they seem to really like Lopez. They also added Broussard as their DH, so I dont think they really have a big need for Walker. I personally would love to see Walker come out here to Seattle so I could see him play in person, but I would doubt it happening.

Of course, who knows how old it is. If the deal is done between the M's and Cleveland, what could we get from the Rangers?

Walker isn't going anywhere before the 7/31 deadline. Neither is Nevin. One of the 2 will be picked up off the wire before 8/31, and we'll be stuck with one of the two.

 

Besides, if we picked up some prospects - what makes you think we could develop them for the "show"? If Dusty's still here, he'll manage to ruin every top prospect one way or another.
