Wow, I didn't realize how easily AC/DC won their first 2.

Apparently there are a lot of Monster Truck fans here

....But not as many 'Boy Band' fans around here. Werent the Beatles really the first boy band that teenage girls went gaga over? All joking aside, The Beatles are a better band, they had better albums and better hit singles. I have more Beatles albums than AC/DC. I had the Highway to Hell tape in HS but i cant find it anymore. But with that if i have choice to listen to song on the radio I would listen to For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) over something like Yesterday. Yesterday is a better song i would just prefer to listen to a more rockin song because of my taste, so i voted AC/DC.

Unlike many here, I really like AC/DC. But it's not even remotely close. The Beatles are the only band that I think you can make a reasonable argument as the best band of all time, bar none, and as long as they're in the tournament, I will be voting for them, no matter who they're up against.

It was 12-6 last I checked. This is much better. If I had to order songs that I'd prefer to listen on the radio, I think I'd have to list at least 20 Beatles songs before I got to an AC/DC song.

You had to pick the Beatles' most mellow song to compare to About to Rock? Tell me you've heard the White Album? There's some very heavy stuff on there, especially for its time.

I could list about 150 of their songs before i'd get to an AC/DC song.

It wasnt meant as a side to side comparison. Yesterday is one of my favorites off the top of my head. I listen to more Beatles than AC/DC, BUT... if i want to go all Dee Syder and Want To Rock, ill go with AC/DC for a couple of their better hits. Could i listen to AC/DC everyday...hell no. Revolution and Back in USSR isnt really the same thing as Highway to Hell, Shoot to Thrill, Have a Drink on Me, Hells Bells, TNT and Its A Long Way to The Top.

i'll post the next one tomorrow. Technically this one will run 2 days, but I have a feeling it will lose steam sometime tomorrow morning

this likely begins my run of voting against the beatles. i don't know the future matchups or anything, but im voting based on who i'd like to sit down and listen to, and the beatles are going to lose out to a pretty hearty number of the bands remaining for me.

I just bought "Revolver" the other day and have been listening to it nonstop. This is just about the easiest decision of the tournement for me.

(already have Sgt. Pepper's and Abbey Road too, what should I go for next?)

The crowning achievement and what I consider to be so ground breaking about "Revolver" is that literally every single song sounds completely different from the rest. All 14 tracks.

Next you should go for Rubber Soul...it was when the boys became men. Deep and introspective songs on there such as "Nowhere Man" or "In My Life" were unheard of at that time among pop groups. I think it may be my favorite album of theirs.

By the way, if you like "Revolver", you should check out their song "Rain" which was recorded during the Revolver sessions and released as a single. It's often cited as the most overlooked Beatles' song.
