I found this tidbit on http://www.dodgerblues.com (And for those who don't know, it's not a family friendly site.

Paul DePodesta signed Eric Gagne to a $19 million contract in January of 2005. Since Gagne is likely undergoing season-ending back surgery, and the Dodgers figure to buy out the option year on Gagne's contract for $1 million, we now know what the Dodgers got for their $20 million investment: EIGHT SAVES. Since you didn't graduate high school, allow us to do the math: $2.5 million per save. Not quite the $6 million the Dodgers paid Darren Dreifort per win, but impressive nonetheless.

Celebrating the futility of the LA Dodgers? Ha, try following a team that hasn't played in the series since 1945. If you recall, the Dodgers were playing at Brooklyn at the time. Fools.

The Dodgers have won titles in two cities since the Cubs have played for one. Sad days indeed.

Gagne was a hard core doper. The Dodgers are literally paying for the repercussions.

HOORAY FOR BASELESS ACCUSATIONS!

The site is fun. I didn't realize Dodger fans had such vitriol.

the Dodgers have had one of the best farm systems in baseball since farm systems were created. they should just stop making trades and signing FAs, let their stars walk and take the draft picks. every trade and signing they make seems to go horribly wrong for them.

The titles of their forums are pretty good to. The Transaction forum is titled, "Pedro for Delino"

Every so often when my dad is bugging me about the Cubs I'll ask him who the Dodgers got in return for Pedro Martinez. He just shakes his head every time. Not quite the same as 97 years of futility but it usually shuts him up.

Yeah, who in their right mind would sign Nomar Garciaparra?

The J.D. Drew signing hasn't been too bad either. Jeff Kent was awesome last year for them, but has had to deal with injuries this year.
