Didn't know MJ and Kevin Bacon spent a lot of time together in their underwear.

MJ just wanted to be one degree away from Bacon. He's got too big of an ego to not be.

Marshall showing some maturity by not being rattled and still throwing strikes....I liked this kid from the start and he continues to impress me.

He's the anti Rich Hill. They both have similar "stuff" but Marshall Has the smarts and (lets face it) the stones to pitch in the majors...

Here's my current concern.

After this series, the Cubs go on a mini-run, something like winning 8 out of their next 10, getting up to 48-57 and moving up to something like 8 games out of the Wild Card in the process. This will convince Hendry and Dusty that the Cubs are still in the race for the WC and stand pat or possibly even make a move for a veteran utility guy, thinking that since the Cubs could take 2 of 3 from the best team in the NL, they have to be competitive!

They'll then spend August starting useless veterans over promising young guys who should be getting time, completely collapse by the 15th of August, and then flounder for the rest of the season.

Then again, maybe the Mutts will come back and win somehow.

It's what the Cubs do. They think unrealistic thoughts and show why they don't have any vision or guts to be successful. I expect the 70 to 84 win cycle to continue well into the teens.

Right now, Omar is wondering how he can obtain Marshall.

While Hendry is in his office wondering if he can obtain veteran infielder, Jose Valentin and would Sean Marshall be a deal that Omar would accept.
