I'm probably Neifi's biggest critic but if Cedeno doesn't come around after the break they can't let him keep looking like he has lately.

I'm okay with Neifi being DFA'd but I don't think you can let Cedeno be this lost for the rest of the year. It will destroy any confidence he has ever had. What we really need is someone to work with him. We could call that guy a "hitting coach".

Well that maybe true, but I don't think we wan him anywhere near the guy we are currently calling hitting coach.

That's what I mean. Either get a new hitting coach or send Cedeno on a 10 day vacation to Iowa to work with Von Joshua. It's just pretty bad if you have to send a guy to AAA to get hitting instruction because we don't have anyone at the ML level that can do it.

That's what I mean. Either get a new hitting coach or send Cedeno on a 10 day vacation to Iowa to work with Von Joshua. It's just pretty bad if you have to send a guy to AAA to get hitting instruction because we don't have anyone at the ML level that can do it.

 

I agreed. Cedeno looks lost, and overmatched, not to mention he has lost some confidence. Swinging at a ball over your head in a bases loaded situation, and then swinging at a 45 ft curveball in the 9th. He needs help in the worst way. I know I am going to get booed, but right now, Cedeno needs to go to AAA, Nefti needs to temp start (provided he gives up the switch-hitting, and concentrate on batting RH ONLY), and Theriot to be called up.

Cedeno has been looking very Corey-esque as of late, especially today, and that's worrisome.

 

On the upside, at least Pierre and Jones are staying hot. I know it's likely Hendry will just hold onto them, but part of me thinks maybe he'll do the smart thing and trade while their value is high.
