Rusch back tomorrow, Dusty's stable will be loaded

Can somebody take a bat to his back so he has to go back on the DL? Please? I'm sure we could get a pot started for whoever does this.

Pagan 13.33% of the way to his minor league career HR total.

Somebody sure made a deal with the devil today. I think this was the last one for Hendry, though.

So you are saying that Dusty will head to Cali after the Houston series?

No, Hendry is just out of deals with the devil. There's a limit. Dusty will just have to be retained based on the excuse that he didn't have his horses for the entire year.

As a single game, this is relatively meaningless for Dusty's career.

Pagan for CF after Pierre is dealt

No other real options outside of Montanez.

'Lix

I wouldn't consider that an option at the moment, but Hendry might.

That's not going to endear him to Baker...

I was just listening to Sox radio (670) and Farmer commented on Williamson's comments today (intimating that Baker was playing favorites). Right before the homerun Farmer said, player should stay out of the manager's head and go out and play). I have to agree...

If a player is willing to go out and say those things, the manager has more problems that a player getting in his head.

I think it says a lot about the player (and it isn't positive). IIRC, it was Williamson who fueled the rumor that the Cubs might try to trade him at the beginning of the season because he said he still wanted to close. I didn't think that was appropriate (just like today's comments). The guy has the ability to be a great pitcher but with his injury past and propensity for wildness he should just shut up...

I agree with you on one level that players should play and not call out thier manager in public. However he isnt the onlyone and since it is more than him Baker has big problems in that clubhouse that arent going to be fixed if he stays.

I'm sure there are some problems in the clubhouse right now but considering Williamson's comments at the beginning of the year (when the team was playing well) I think he's the type of guy with the potential to be a cancer. Why say the manager's playing favorites? It really disses both the manager and teammates. Also, why publically say you still want to close when you (should) know your role in the bullpen. The Cubs did him a favor by taking a chance on a guy coming off an injury. He should be using this opportunity to showcase his stuff instead of causing controversy.
