I thought the "Go Tigers, Go" chant started at Wrigley field when they were up 10-3 in the ninth was a bit over the top. I turned and asked the Tiger fans to show a little class.

 

Surprisingly, they stopped chanting, and a couple of them actually apologized.

 

I was pleasantly surprised.

What's wrong with chanting at a rival's field? I didn't see any Cubs fans pulling punches when we took over Turner Field at the 2003 NLDS.

So they made Wrigley Field Comerica Park South?? So what?? IN 2003, we made Turner Field Wrigley Field South. I have no problems with fans turning an enemies ballpark (other team) into their own.

 

Or like how Milwaukee is known as Chicago north.

Yes. I can never get tickets to Cubs-Brewers games in Milwaukee.

Atlanta = Wrigley South

Denver = Wrigley West

Milwaukee = Wrigley North

Pittsburgh = Wrigley East

Rational, I have a question- who do you cheer for in the N.L. Central?

 

My point is, how can any White Sox fan act incredulous when Cub fans cheer for someone other than the Sox in the A.L. Central? I mean, you do know Cubs fans and Sox fans generally dislike the other team, right?

 

The Cubs play the Brewers, by the way. Who you pullin' for? :D

Petco generally has more Cubs fans than Padres fans.

 

My son learned the "Let's go Cubbies" chant at Great American Ballpark!

 

It sucks when fans from the other team cheer for their team at your own place, but it goes both ways. We (Cub fans) do it all the time.

 

I just wish this year we could be doing it more than we are currently. :evil:

I don't understand why a Sox or Cards fan would post on a Cubs board and then be incredulous about posts negative toward the Sox or Cards. I see no problem with fans of other teams posting, but it seems logical for them to expect that they are going to have to have thicker skin than they would on their own team's board.

Agreed. Every thread CBB seems to go into he manages to get an anti-Sox comment in there.

Ditto. He seems to be more concerned with bashing the Sox or even the Cardinals than discussing the Cubs. It got real old, real fast.

The Red Sox are my 2nd-favorite AL team. My favorite AL team is anyone playing and/or making havoc for the White Sox. Right now, that would be the Tigers, Twins, and Indians

It's different if you live in Chicago.

 

Oh that's right, I wouldn't want to get hasseled by those White Sox fans all the time.
