Got to go with Santana on this one. Lefty pitchers are like kryptonite to the Cubs. Even though relatively unknowns such as Bonser also fall into this category; I think that Santana is just too skilled for an "aggressive" Cub hitting team.

If there were ever a time in baseball history where a pitcher hurling a perfect game were predictable and likely, this would be it. I'm guessing 9IP/0R/0H/0BB/13K/97pitches for Santana tonight.

If the Cubs get no hits he won't throw 97 pitches.

CC Sabathia respectfully disagrees. This team historically struggles with the unknown. BOOF, baby.

I thought about that, but I figure the 13 Ks will run his pitch count up little. If he only Ks 5 or 6, then I predict his pitch count will be somewhere in the upper 60s or low 70s.

Yeah, I know they struggle with the unknowns, but the lefty thing takes precedent. The Sabathia thing was an aberration. Heck the winning that series at the Jake was just incomprehensible. The Indians may be a bit down this year, but they are so much better than the Cubs. Santana will baffle Cub hitters just as Pettite did at Wrigley last week.

Self explanatory. On one hand we have a Cy Young pitcher. On the other hand we have a rookie pitcher that has made 5 career starts.

Who is boof bonser? If it's Liriano, he won;t pitch against us, he pitched yesterday. But he is the second coming of the great Johan Santana, IMO.

Congrats to all those that said Boof would shut the Cubs out.

BTW NCCubbieFan, I love the Busty-O-Meter

6 games from the 1st overall pick in 2007!
