I was listening to the Mets' radio guys on XM, and they sounded baffled when they were talking about Rusch warming up in the pen...they couldn't figure out who he could possibly pitch against, since he basically sucked against everyone he's ever faced.

My hope is that Hendry can find one of the contending teams desperate for a LHP out the pen and dump Rusch on them. At this point I'd settle for a bag of used BP balls.

And you would be lucky to get that in return. There is no GM in baseball, except Hendry, that wants Rusch. Even the historically pitching poor Texas Rangers released his sorry...left arm.

He could always insist that another team take Rusch in a deal if they really want somebody else. Problem is, Hendry probably still thinks he did great with the Rusch deal, just like the Neifi deal.
