Rodriguez struck out swinging

Whoa there, two batters, two outs? Ok who kidnapped Guzman? or, is that Marmol in his uniform?

The Cubs front office just issued a press release advising the Hank White has been signed to a 3year extension.

Actually he signed the extension at the beginning of the year, and the Cubs brass has just been waiting for Blanco to have a multihit game before they announce the signing.

Len just said, "The Cubs are inching their way back."

So how long until Len and Bob start drinking on the job? If i was in their shoes I probably would have quit already or laughing hysterically at this team every time they screw up.

Gameday says Pierre grounded out 'sharply.' Must have been a titanic blast. I bet it didn't leave many of the Wrigley faithful with their eardrums intact.

LOL. The pitcher sure thought so as he had time to stretch 5 feet off the mound to his left side for it.

I think Bob's already on something, suggesting that the Tigers should hit and run and sac bunt with GLENDON RUSCH on the mound and the WIND BLOWING OUT.

I'm telling you, Guzman, Marshall and Hill should get into some sort of tag team rotation where they try to get 3-4 innings from two of those guys every 5th game.

Considering Marshall's and Guzman's injury histories, that's not a bad idea.

This thread was much more entertaining when Rusch was pitching. Watching Guzman come in and do well is definitely a mood-killer.

Just think about what may happen if the offense gets going and Gooz keeps it up...signs of the Apocolypse

Not as crazy as some here might think.

I know some clubs use tandem starters in the minors - each guy expected to throw about 4 innings.

The Cubs have 12 pitchers on the roster, so it's not like they couldn't do that sort of thing.

Hill/Guzman and Wood/Marshall?

Don't worry, the offensive woes will get our mood back to where it needs to be.
