Perhaps Baker is much smarter than all of us.

In an attempt to provide Guz with as little pressure as possible, send Rusch out to lose the game and let Guz come in to finish it off. What a confidence booster.

Plus it can't be easy on the Tigers hitters, you try hitting guzman after seeing the fatman.

Didnt Babe Ruth get ejected after walking the first guy in a game and than his relief pitcher got the next 27 guys out?

Didn't he get a double play and only retire 26? I thought that was why he doesn't get credit for a perfect game.

So are they going to have Chip and Skip Caray doing those Budweiser Father's Day commercials just to keep screwing with Cubs fans?

I want them to tell the story of when they were playing Hide-N-Seek when Chip was 6 and it took him 12 years to find Skip.

Didn't realize that there were only 3 living people that played for a Cubs World Series team. There could have easily been 28

Babe Ruth started for Boston, walking Senators' lead-off batter Ray Morgan, then was thrown out of game by umpire Brick Owens for arguing the call. Shore came on in relief. Morgan was caught stealing and Shore retired the next 26 batters in a row. While technically not a perfect game—since he didn't start—Shore gets credit anyway.
