I don't know what Marcelo Balboa's obsession with the penalty kick shootout going all 11 kickers. I don't recall a shootout going more than 6 or 7. And he also thinks that the goalies will be the last to take the kicks, which isn't true either. They could be last, but they could be one of the first 5.

Nice. Germany wins it. I believe we will be seeing a Germany vs Brazil final. Tough to choose from those two but it's hard to go against the home team even when the opponent is Brazil.

Go me. First, I wasn't in the mood to watch the game this morning so I taped it instead and went to work out. Then I come home and the results were spoiled by someone. For privacy sake, let's call her Slugger 6. No, that's too obvious. Let's say S 16. Anyways, so I look for the goals and FF to the penalty kicks. Then, right as they were about to start, my tape ends. I recorded it in SP mode since I didn't think it would go that long and the penalty kicks started right at the 2:03 marker...

 

Bah. But I'm happy with the result.

I don't know who the other announcer is (it's not Marcelo Balboa) but he continues to say "Cristian Ronaldo" and it is getting quite annoying. Did he even do his homework?
