My point is i trust Baker to make the right lineups day in day out. I also trust Dusty because he almost became the first manager in baseball history to bring 2 different teams to a world series in consecutive years.

Having Patterson and Perez bat 1-2 in front of a guy having the season any player could dream of last year made a lot of sense. But of course, he can make "the right lineups."

Who would you bat 1 and 2 last year

Walker definitely and maybe even Barrett. Some people last year were even clamoring for having Lee lead off last year with the lack of success with Patterson and Perez in the lineup.

Lee leading off?

yeah he would lead off the game with a three run homer..... :D

Perez is starting to hit the ball now, i can see him going 3/5 today

You mean .667 OPS last 7 days starting to hit the ball?

Thanks Bruce.

I want Womack back, NOW.

Me too. I miss Womack already. (Neifi in Dusty's 2hole already)

WHAT, A, [removed].

ewwww.....

LOL

Dusty is not even predictable by his own standards. You'd think it would take a crowbar to keep Womack from starting, but instead, Dusty throws us a curveball and plays his favorite pet.

Whiskey tango foxtrot.

yeah, this is just bizarre. The offense lights up with Womack in the lineup and we promptly take him out.

Odd.

On the bright-side, we did score 5 runs with Neifi batting 2nd on Friday. ](*,)

If Nevin plays at 1B for the next two weeks, I find it hard to bealive that Dusty won't find a way to bench Walker/Cedeno for Womack/Perez. MORONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

Edit: Not for every game, but for some.

But he doesn't make the right lineups. How is Neifi Perez batting second considered to be the right lineup?

Baker is among the winningest managers in the majors since 1993, and is a three-time winner of the Manager of the Year award.

BARRY BONDS

I believe this was discussed in another thread already.

Bottom line Dusty gives the cubs the best shot of winning. You actually think bringing in a new manager would change everything? Wouldnt change the fact the cubs have had 3 rookies this year making their first major league start, wouldnt change the fact Lee their best hitter and the 05 hitting champ is out of the lienup. How can you win with 3 rookies making starts?

The giants rotation that year combined for 66 wins, i think that played a roll in them winning the NL pennant

So you don't have a problem with Neifi batting second? You don't have a problem with Dusty's complete ignorance of OBP? Dusty sucks.

This winning thing kind of feels good. :)

A win tonight would be sweet as one of my close buddies is a huge Reds fan and was running his mouth before the series. Not that I'd have blamed him. :?

Thats your opinion and I respect that. I do have a problem with neifi batting second but i dont have a problem with him in the lineup
