That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life.

Since he made his last start there's a 100% chance he'll make this next start.

It's called math, people.

If you know math so well, you understand that 10+ stints on the DL, missed starts, etc, is a far better predicate than 2 consecutive starts (against the worst teams in the NL).

i don't think you get it.

No, I don't. Please Explain.

IT'S A JOKE.

Someone a couple days ago said there's a 100% chance Prior will be injured next season, because he's been injured his first 4 or 5 seasons. That was what my post was in reference to.

the comparison to morris is wonderful but erroneous. wood already had his velocity back - now he needs to build up strength to maintain it. unfortunately, he is likely rehabbing the rest of this year to pitch for someone else. to rush him at this point is ridiculous.

Right. Because we don't know what happens next. Are you in denial? Do you not see a patern here? If we have a patern repeat itself 5 times, isn't that a pretty good indication that it will repeat again?

It's not your fault that you didn't read the thread.

Actually it is to your benefit that you weren't exposed to it.

I lost three IQ points simply by clicking on it.

Badger, you cut Wood WAY more slack than you cut Prior. If this was Prior you'd be all over him for being a "wuss."

Actually that's incorrect. I clearly stated my innuendo about Prior being a "wuss" was incorrect in the thread you are referring to, after Goony's long and eloquent post about Dusty destroying Prior.

I think neither Kerry nor Prior are wusses, and I just don't get why people want to get their panties in a bundle and assume things, when the EXACT same thing was said by the eXACT same people before Kerry's start on Tuesday - and Kerry himself was pissed off by Baker saying it.

It doesn't make any sesnse to me. Sure he's gonna be pretty sore, much more sore than normal pitchers because

1) He head no spring training

2) He's had little work over the past year.

That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life.

Maybe so, but I know 15 NSBB'ers I'd give it to yesterday off the top of my head.

Would you pay for the postage with your injury settlement?

Wood had his velocity back? You can't be serious. He is consistently throwin 91-93 and sometimes hitting 94-95 with the wind blowing the same direction. Clearly, he does not have his velocity back and who knows if he will ever get it back.

Wait, now there is a question as to whether or whether or not he will get it back? I thought you declared him damaged goods during your intensive medical evaluation with no chance of him gaining velocity back, say, after a few games and his arm getting used to the workload. Which way is it? Is it over or is not over for Woody?

My personal opinion is that he will never get it back. Damaged goods it is.
