Peoria's game was rained out. According to the Chiefs' site, the game is cancelled and will not be made up during the 1st half of the season because these 2 teams do not meet each other again.

Sam Fuld hit a 2 run homer in the 3rd to give Daytona a 2-1 lead at that time. However, Gallagher allowed a homer to Sarasota in the 4th and the game is tied at 2 in the bottom of the 4th.

Gallagher's line so far: 4 IP, 4 hits, 2 runs (2 earned), 0 BB's, 5 K's, 1 HR allowed.

Ryan O'Malley's perfect game bid ends in the 6th as Salt Lake got a leadoff single. The runner was erased on a caught stealing though, so he retired everyone in order so far. Iowa still leads 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th.

West Tenn leads 2-1 in the 6th. EPatt is 2/3 today including a triple. Montanez and Hoffpauir have the 2 RBI's in the game for the Jaxx.

Daytona is routing Sarasota 13-2 in the 9th. Gallagher pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, and 7 K's. Alan Rick, who is DH'ing tonight, had a grand slam in the 6th.

Not a bad game for Fuld so far. He's 3-6 with 3 runs scored, 2 RBIs, a SB, and a single shy of the cycle.

Hmm. O'Malley struck out the first two batters of the 7th but was then replaced by Aardsma. He was at 83 pitches. Heck of a line for him:

6.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K

and Daytona wins 13-2. Gallagher now 3-0 on the season. Carlos Perez pitches 3 scoreless innings of relief to get the save. Only baserunner he allowed was on a walk. His ERA is still at 8.44 though

O'Malley's night is done. Great effort from him tonight...6 2/3 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 BB's, 7 K's. Aardsma is now in for Iowa.

and it appears Jon beat me to it

Of course!

Greenberg in to run for Sing after he was HBP. I doubt it was for Greenberg's speed since there's a runner in front of him. Hopefully he's okay.

Pie lays down a 1-0 sac bunt for the first out in the inning.

Booo.

The I-Cubs plate 5 on 2 HBPs, a walk, and 4 singles. They lead 6-0.

Wuertz in to finish it out.

Felix!!!

4th homer of the season, 3rd in less than a week. Leadoff homer puts Iowa up 1-0 in the bottom of the 1st.

nice to hear he is hitting a few out. I like the way he is developing.
