Wonder if that would have had a chance without the wind blowing in.

18 pitches, 11 strikes. Sure had some control problems after getting the second out.

Did I miss a foul ball on the third batter? I guess I did. Trying to keep up gives me a greater appreciation for Fred and the awesome job he does in game threads.

Gameday says it the batter fouled off three pitches, which were the only strikes in that AB.

Thanks. I'm trying to go off the tv broadcast and it's tough to type updates and keep track at the same time. Does anyone even need updates or is everyone keep tracking through other means?

Nice looking throw by Pie though... and yeah the camera is giving me a headache.

His velocity doesn't seem quite the same, used to be mid 90's and he could reach back for 98-99, now it's low 90's and he reaches back for 93-94.

Not much control so far and it doesn't sound like he's been able to do all that much with his breaking stuff.

Certainly not smooth sailing like last time. 61 pitches and 38 strikes through 3 innings.

You're right about that. Wood has looked ok, but the breaking pitches haven't been real sharp and he doesn't seem to be overpowering anyone.
