Has The Riot gotten a AB yet? I've admittedly been falling asleep half way through the games and haven't looked closely at the box scores.

No, but he saw the field for the first time last night, in the bottom of the 9th.

His mere presence in the dugout/clubhouse must have given them just the spark they needed.

Well, I predicted a loss last night and they won, so I'll try it again...Cubs stink and they will lose 6-2!

When he punched his glove and hunkered down, you could see the electricity arcing between the players on the field. My legs felt weak and I had to sit down. Somewhere distant, a child wept with tears of joy.

A bastard child perhaps.

Thank goodness you'd taken off you heels and put on your himalayan walking shoes.

well if anything this drop in the order shows he is not a given-I could see if the Cedeno leading off ezperiment works, then Pierre would probably go-at least i hope he would -He is not proiducing Offensively so Pie could be eased in without losing much production if any-probably add some much needed excitement

Murton batting eighth?

ugh...that walk he took last night must have made Dusty mad.

Posted (edited)

Think Fred missed this:

Jamey Wright has not lost to the Cubs since May 9, 2001, when he was with Milwaukee, going 3-0 with a 2.78 ERA in five starts.

Could be a long day for the offense, especially w/ Mabry batting 5th & Murton 8th. Great lineup Dusty!

That's a great quote by Gallagher in your avatar!

How many teams have possibly their best pure hitter in the lineup batting 8th? And on top of that... the worst batting 5th?

that's the genius of our Dusty...shakin' things up.
