Fox is 2-4 so far with a HR and 3 RBIs. Berg didn't last long, but Daytona is leading 17-5. Craig hit his second HR of the game, his fourth of the season.

Thanks vance_the_cubs. That is such a nice compliment. I couldn't agree more! :D
Surprise, surprise.

BTW, his Q & A thread is still open; you should have some fun and ask him a question there.

I'm thinking about it!! He'll never even know it's me! SSHHH! :?

Iowa and Memphis tied at 4 after 5.

Jerome's line after 5: 5 IP, 8 hits, 4 ER's, 2 BB's, 0 K's, 2 HR's given up.

definitely not the best night for Jerome tonight.

Jaxx get 1 in the top half of the 5th on an RBI groundout by Reyes which scored Micah.

Micah with a DOUBLE!

Looks like that double raised his SLG % to .670 and OBP to near .400.

Sure hope he can keep that going!

ugh, Iowa loaded the bases with walks by McGehee, Pie, and Ojeda with no outs and proceeded to get 2 K's from Coats and Deardorff before Sing flew out to end the inning.

still 5-4 Memphis.

Random note: Chirinos has possibly the weakest arm I've ever seen. Its Pierre bad.

Good thing he's at second, though.

For those of you who may have missed it, Brian Dopirak pinch hit for West Tenn today and went 0/1.

Dope is back! I didn't see him with the team when I was there Sunday... :-s I'll look for him tonight when I go back.

And I must say, if there's a nicer guy that Micah Hoffpauir, I've never met him.

He's like the Anti-Bonds.

I'm heading back over there tonight. Do you need me to give him a message? :D

But seriously, he was very nice and friendly. My wife even commented such. Best of luck to him!

Dope IS NOT back... the official scorer made a mistake. Jon-Mark Sprowl, who is wearing Dopirak's old number (56), was the player who pinch-hit in the ninth inning.

The official scorer should be beheaded for creating false optimism among Cub fans. :(
