Sure glad I've been watching the NFL draft all day and can ignore this debacle. I think it's safe to say the Rusch experiment is over and we should return Aardsma to the minors for Hill. Brutal...

Have the Bears made their first pick yet ?

Traded it to Buffalo for the 10th pick in 2nd round (42nd overall) and 9th pick in 3rd round (73rd overall).

Interesting. Thanx

CUBS haven't been shutout since Wed 31 Aug 2005 by Los Angeles, 7-0 in Wrigley Field. (Rusch started that game also)

thanks for the updates fred. you aren't alone. they have the draft on the tv here at work so i can't watch the game. it's appreciated.

As soon as I tune in the game the Cubs score a run. Let the comeback commence.

Edit: Or maybe not. Nice to see Lee Smith, BTW.

Cubs get on the board with a Restovich double.

Barrett is pinch hitting.

you sure it's not a decoy.

Personally, I'm shocked that Dusty knows he's allowed to pinch hit without executing a double switch.

I really hope our offense gets all these double play balls out of them now and the pitching staff gets all the home runs allowed out as well because I don't want to see any of this tomorrow when Z is pitching.

Wow. Just saw that Glendon Rusch gave up 4 HRs. That's 11 HRs in 22 1/3 innings. Absolutely brutal. If he is still in the rotation after today, Dusty needs to be flogged.

I was away so, I want to make sure I add that Rusch and Aardsma suck and Oh-Man was lucky last year. YUCK

Or Rusch and Aardsma suck and Ohman can't be good when he gets 1 appearance in the last 9 days.

It's up to Hendry to make that move, not Dusty. (That is if you're talking about sending him down).

Aardsma needs more time in AAA and Rusch just sucks. Ohman needs to be given the chance to prove he sucks on a regular basis.

Hendry needs to be flogged for signing that bum for two years.
