I'm a little perturbed with our seemingly annual injury/recovery watch with Wood and Prior, who I am now dubbing Yosarian and Dunbar (any of you who have read "Catch 22" will get the reference).

We have one other bona fide starter on the payroll - how is he doing?

He was moved to the 60-day DL to make room for Restovich and he can't be activated for MLB duty until June 1.

Yup. And the Cubs continued w/ their cover-ups on the glass doll twins by saying Prior is behind Miller and Wood is delayed 4-5 days w/ tightness under his armpit

Gee such creative nick names you have.

I actually kind of like it. But then, after two years of this schtick, I'm kind of crabby. With Lee out and the team looking a TAD flat-footed, I'm a damn sight CRANKIER than Wood's arm.

Mariotti called Wood Kid Rx and always says to stick the next pin into the voodoo doll of Kid Rx or Prior

An evil Sox fan I know calls Prior and Wood The Simple Life - two players who are famous for no apparent reason. Har har har.

I'm no Mariotti fan but I was sort of amused by his label for Prior & Wood: Blue Cross and Blue Shield. "Team MRI" is another good one. If you don't laugh you cry I guess.

That's pretty good, actually.

Interesting comment, since Prior has never needed surgery. Wood, on the other hand.....

the Wood act is getting really really old time for him to toughen up and throw the ball like he's getting paid to do. It's alwayssomething with this guy.

He's fleeced us on 4 performances: HIs 20-K game in 1998, his 1-hitter in 2001, and games 1 and 5 vs. the Braves in 2003

Haha. I would never go that far, Big Z. You might be a little off the reservation on this one.
