It would be greatly appreciated :D

Go to Cubs.com it's on the front page. Audio and Video.

Yea but you can't download them...

I'm looking for a wmv download to eventually go on my iPod.

Anyone know how to download a link or the actual wave file? I'd really like to send it around to all my Cards Fan friends here today on their "opening Day"

(I'm going by the way...I'll give a report on the new stadium when I get back)

I wish MLB would team up with Apple and offer games for download on iTunes.
you can download old games if you subscribe to MLBTV.

Well, I'm not sure about the video one, but I know for sure that you can deftinaly download the audio one (Of Pat and Ron) off of JonMDavis website.

JonMDavis.net

Then go to his sounds page, and just click on what you need, only right click it and click "save as" to where you want to save it.

I burned off a CD from that list of his, and it's deftinaly fun to listen to a various of announcers hollering and screaming on a certain play while I'm driving. Makes the trip short and also make the time go by faster.

Man, that video at Cubs.com is awesome. I love the shot of the bench going nuts. Just seemed like last night the Cubs were playing with a lot more intensity than usual.

In a 162 game season, it's natural for those ebbs and flows to happen. And the intensity is always going to be high against teams like the Cards.

Ron is downright unintelligible (I think that's the word) after Barrett hits that granny, screaming like a crazy old man.

Haha, I think that would also apply for all of us. I know I was quickly screaming like a crazy man when Barrett made contact.

I hate the MLB.com player, it is set up so poorly. if they used something like what google and youtube use, it would be a lot better.

(They should load the video first and then play, but nooooo, its gotta be streaming and if your computer doesn't load fast enough, you cant pause it and let it load... no, then it stops and starts loading again when you hit play...)

Saturday's game was the first highlight I have ever heard Andy Mazur call. There haven't been many homers hit in the 7th. So someone won, actualyl 2 days in a row, the WGN homerun giveaway right?

Here's an avi file of the grand slam, but you'll need the xvid codec to view it. Let me know if there's anything wrong with the audio.

http://www.jonmdavis.net/cubs/barrettgrandslam040906.avi (about 8 mb)

By the way, the extra bleacher crowd really made it seem like a playoff game last night. The shot of the ball sailing onto Waveland was just awesome.

awesome

"That ball...deep into left field. Way way back! A GRAND SLAM!"

Fantastic. :D :D :D

I tried to sync up the Pat and Ron call, but that audio clip was too short and you can't really hear the crowd noise. And since Joe Morgan kept his mouth shut (surprise), this works out.

I just wish they wouldn't start the video clip a second before the ball is hit. They've been doing that all year so far.

Definately a highlight of the clip.

Also, on every highlight show they don't say anything about Rincon and Izzy walking the bases loaded. They just show Barrett's GS.

I think I've watched that clip about 20 times since it was posted. It hasn't gotten old yet.

"A GRAND SLAM!!"

I watched it at least 40 times this morning when he first posted it.
