I've been touting Barrett since the Cubs picked him up in 2004. He always seems to come up with the big hit. Over the course of a season it doesn't seem like he does a whole lot, but I think the last two games prove my point. That's what I know Barrett for: the clutch hits.

I remember Fred talking about what a great signing Barrett was as soon as Hendry picked him up. I've never thought of him as clutch or a big play guy, just someone who goes out and plays good quiet solid baseball.

 

Of course, now he's on pace to drive in 288 runs on the back of 64 HR, all of which will come in the 7th inning or later. That works too 8)

I knew he wasn't going to come in and hit 25 or 30 HR's, but I figured he would be one of the better offensive catchers in the league. I don't have any numbers on him coming through in the late innings, but I just seem to feel confident that he's going to get the clutch hit because I've seen him do it numerous times.

I've been all over Barrett's bandWGN since Day 1, and it's been a pleasure watching him now into his third season. I hope he's here for a long time coming and I'm sure he does too. :)

If you believe the listed heights. Deron Williams is listed as 6'3" in the pic I have with him that makes me about 6'6" and I am not that tall.

No I believe him, what reason would he have to lie. I just always doubt the players listed heights and weight. I know when I played bball in college they just asked us for our listings.

That pic is in Houston, but it's right outside MMP at the entrance many of the players use.
