Two of my pitchers (Schilling and Chen) are pitching against each other tonight. Good chance of coming up with a win here. :D

I have to root for Schilling in this matchup, since I also have him on my team in another league.

I go from the strongest pitching team in the league last year to this:

39.2 INN, 58 HA, 18 BBI, 25 K, 35 ER, W, 2 L, 2 S, HB, 2 HD, 71 TBA

Christ, I've resorted to picking up [expletive] pitchers for next week, just because they have 2 starts. We'll see if I can get any points that way.

Sometimes it works, sometimes..... For years I was forced to use that strategy. But hopefully not this year

Meanwhile the Quakers had a nice week this week, challenging Tim for the weeks points leader. The only real downsides to this week were two anemic preformances by Millwood and the fact that Hoffman never had a save opportunity.

My team's weak spot got highlighted this week. Estrada got over half his points today...all three of them. My pitching was a bit of a let down this week, but pitching seems to be a league-wide issue at this point. I've got confidence in my guys, so I'm sure they'll come around.

oh good grief, I'm 2.6 behind Raisin with only Rolen still active - for me. Unless the kenny rogers outing had enough TBs, I now have to root for Rolen to score 3 points.

actually, I think I win as long as Rolen doesn't lose points. I'm going to gain at least 4 points on him based on total bases.

Can you enlighten me on this comment? Have the points not completely updated in the game center? Rookie question.

I'm done trading w/Tim.

Dellucci gets traded to become a PH'er and Jones has his ankle and knee end up at 3 different places at one time.

Oh yeah, The Bees still have the 3rd highest point total, bitches.

no, some stats are tabulated overnight - including total bases allowed and quality starts.

Cool. So it's possible someone could find me an extra 50 or so points overnight? :D

Those performances today by Lopez and especially Colon made me a happy camper. :D

That's 29 victories in a row, dating back to late 2004.

Good thing playoff games don't interrupt streaks where MLB is concerned. :D

If I had even 1 friggin pitcher contribute this week, or maybe Dan Johnson, I'd have been in it. Oh well, its the first week. Lets see if my stellar staff of Seo, Hernandez, Colon, Bannister, and Perez and 9 starts this week will make any difference. Doubtful, but we'll see. Draft pick #1 here I come!

I got 31.1 points from my pitching this week, with 7 starts, I got a total of 15.6 from my starters.

Of course, my opponent only got 25.1 from his pitching and beat me.

121 points for my staff this week. :D Of course 8 starts help, but 2 of those resulted in a total of 1.5 points. Hopefully Duke will come through next week with his two starts.

I have to feel sorry for Matt, scores over 300 points and still loses.
