This start by Z is really a carry over from Spring. He never looked good in Spring either. I can only hope this is a fluke start by Z. He looks terrible today.

I'm not even saying this just because of this game.. (or now, in light of that 3 run bomb he just gave up), and not to take anything away from Z, but I've always sort of laughed at the notion that Z was the best of our injury-depleted "Big 3"..

Prior and Wood are definitely better (those two huge qualifying words attached, of course)... Z is still awesome though...

Yeah, that's not true.

No. Z has the single best pitch, even better than Wood's curve with that 95 mph sinker. He is healthy and a horse and can hit .300. I'd take him over Wood and Prior in a heartbeat.

Ump calls a pitch a strike that was further outside than five or six that he's called balls and Z gets the K to get out of it.

And Z is the best and most consistent of our Big 3, if you ask me. Prior and Wood tend to have bad starts much more often than Z.

When Prior is healthy, it's not close. Wood is a much closer call, admittedly.

Need some 'O'. Here's a question for everyone. Would you like one of these 'ban boxes' as your teams ballpark?? me i love pitching couldn't watch ball after ball fly out, give me a 1-0 win any time........
