Shameless plug here, but...

If you are a premium user and want it less obvious what you're doing (such as me right now), you can choose not to display avatars, sigs and/or images.

C'mon.... $5 / month isn't that much for how much time is spent here!

Where I go to do this Tim? I'm a proud premium subscriber and was just wondering where I could go to do such a thing...(or if I could make Goony's sig appear on all posts :D )

I just did it and it's worth it. Pages load much faster too.

The only time I turn the images & avatars back on these days is when I get to spend the rare browsing time at home on broadband during the weekends (in those moments when the kids aren't tackling me). During the week I'm on the road full-time these days and I'm either seeking to be covert at the customer site or on slow hotel connections. Discretion and speed are two great advantages of turning the images off.

Much appreciated. I just turned them off and it sped things up considerably...plus I can now have the message board up in my office full time and it is not "obvious" that is completely unrelated to work.

One other request...is there any way to set the default below to never "notify me when a reply is posted"? Some times I forget to check that and will end up with tons of e-mails that i didn't really want.

Thanks in advance.

What Service! And for only $5 a month...if only my cable company were as reliable.

OK, Hill is done.

Curve and fastball were much better. I'd say the fifth-spot derby is on.

The usual Hill line. While he does have a solid fastball for a lefty and a hammer curve, I do think that his control both in and around the strike zone needs to get better for him to be a better-than-average pitcher in the big leagues. Guys at the top level are more patient and will lay off the close ones, and I don't think his command is good enough to hit corners with any regularity.

box score... Aardsma gave up the hit in the 9th.

Barrett had a nice return from his 0 for in the WBC with a triple and 2 walks.

I can't stand the fact that the guy hitting .355/.419/.581/1.000 in 31 abs won't be able to win the job from the guy hitting .267/.313/.333/.646 with 30 abs.

only ST, but Restovich has been a pleasant surprise.

Speaking of guys that are raking, Matt Murton hitting .517!

Of course I can't help but think about what happened to the last Cub starter to rake in ST... (Nomar)

Like Macias winning a job over Hansen in 05'?
