I went with Prior, just because sooner or later the Baseball Gods have to stop thinking of random crap to do to injure him.

Carpenter was a horse last year. i'll never vote for a Cub in this type of poll
IIRC,That was the 1st time in his career.

Not that he hasn't been oft injured, but:

2001 - 34gs, 215.2 innings

Not the first time really.

He averages 161.2 innings over his career.

I went with Pettite. I think he's going to have a really good year.

His really good year was last year. I think he'll go back to his 200 IP, 4.00 ERA type season, but this time won't have the Yanks offense to give him 18-22 wins.

I voted for Pettitte too and I agree with Raw.

With the "progress" Prior is making I wonder if he will make 25 starts this year.

I don't think you factored in the entire year he missed.

good call. so that makes it 143.1 average.

I went with Pettitte. I think he'll be the least effective of the five guys when he pitches, but with the lousy back end of the rotation in Houston, I think they'll skip the back end whenever possible. Which, of course, leads to more starts for Oswalt & Pettitte.
