the shame about Wellemeyer's performance is we can't just say "oh, well, just a ST game with someone who wouldn't make the team anyway." Wellemeyer was pitching for his trade value today, and it just went right down the tubes.

I think Dopirak is still ahead of Sing in terms of prospect status (ceiling & age), but Sing is about a thousand times more likely to make the team out of Spring Training.

 

He would make a nice utility guy to have come in off the bench to give Lee a rest and to take some reps in the OF, wouldn't he?
