I didn't care who won but somebody tell me why the Steelers were the ones always posing with the Trophy during the commercials? Maybe I'm wrong but it seemed pretty tilted in Pittsburghs favor when it came to the pregame too. It just seemed to surprise me since it was Seattles first Super Bowl.

It was an ok game but I'm getting real sick of refs determining the outcomes instead of the players.

Those refs were brutal on many calls. But I'm not sure they determined the outcome. They made it much easier for Pittsburgh to seal the deal, but they may have won without all the help anyway, because Holgrem crapped the bed, repeatedly.

It's not just the end of a half or game when a game is lost or won. Yeah, Seattle didn't make a lot of plays when they should have but the refs turned a lot of momentum around with some pretty bad calls.

I'd guess that because the Steelers have more well known and more marketable players.

I haven't heard anything about this, so maybe I'm reading too much into it, but... it seemed like Cowher was standing on the 50 yard line for a good two minutes after the game ended waiting for Holmgren to come shake his hand, yet Holmgren never showed. Am I the only one that observed that?

I didn't notice it, Mizzou, but that's no guarantee it didn't happen. I've not seen any mention of it in any of the reports I've read yet, either.

I thought the exact same thing, but I've looked into reports and haven't seen anything mentioned about it.

The impression I got was that Cowher was only concerned about where the post-game celebration was going to take place. He wasn't standing on the 50 or making an effort to get to the other side. He seemed to be looking around for directions to where the stage was being set up.

The story about the coaches was cleared up yesterday. Both coaches were told to meet at the 25 yrd line but they each went to the other one. Later, Cowher went to the Seahawks locker room and spoke with Holmgren. Apparently they have some sort of friendship and actually spoke a couple of times before the game.

As an added note, for everyone tired of hearing the Seattle fans comlplaining about the refs, I want to say that that at least the players have been classy about it. Holmgren is the only one so far that has said anything and that was to rile up the crowd. I think I have heard more people complaining about the Seattle fans complaining, then actual fans's complaints.

All the fans I have spoke with say the same thing. The refs didn't do us any favors and did some for the Steelers, but the Seahawks had thier chances to still win and they didn't. Go Seahawks next year!

They did you one favor. Stevens fumbled.

And Holmgren is trying to cover up his own horrendous coaching job. Between not giving Shaun the ball enough and botching two end-of-the-half drives beyond belief, that might have been the single worst coaching job in the history of the Super Bowl with only the Don Shula "come on, they're just an AFL team" job approaching it.

Nevertheless, you guys will be roaring back again next season, Alexander or no Alexander.

I can somewhat agree with that. However, in my opinion, they should lock up Alexander, but it's at least as important to get Hutchinson signed. The Seahawks got Walter Jones locked up for 7 years. With Hutchinson signed also, that offensive line could protect Hasselbeck for years and continue to open holes for anyone. Hence, Alexander or no Alexander.

I didn't get that impression at all. In fact, you could hear someone next to Cowher saying "where is he" as Cowher was standing wherever he was. I thought that the "he" was Holmgren.

I thought I saw Cowher mouth, "Where is Mike?" about two or three times.

Are you sure that wasn't right after Cowher said, "we gotta find Tirico, he's near my trophy"?

This is kinda cruel.

http://SIseattleoffer.com

??? there is nothing strange about that. It is just the steelers video and such

That's what I found, too. With it having 'Seattle offer' in the address, its a definite remind of what might have been, however.

They apparently laid claim to both addresses awhile back; i just find it strange that they didn't just dead-end the Seattle one after the Steelers won.
