Just heard on ESPN News that Tejada is telling officials he wants to play on the East coast, preferrably for the Red Sox. Didn't like hearing that. I say the O's need to teach him a lesson for sounding off, by shipping him to the Cubs! That's it Baltimore don't get mad, just get even!

Yea im sure the O's are even happier now to hear he wants to be traded to a rival.

Cubs may not be to far of a long shot to land Tejada.

Would imagine the O's would be looking for a younger cheaper replacement (Cedeno), a top prospect Pie, Hill or Guzman and a starting pitcher and/or bullpen help.

Would a Pie, Cedeno, Williams and Wellmeyer be too much to give up to bring Tejada to Chicago.

From Rotoworld:

"Tejada basically quit on the Orioles late in the season, and now he wants out just two years into a six-year deal. Saying he doesn't like the direction is ridiculous. The Orioles are willing to spend money -- they had the high offer to Paul Konerko on the table -- it's just that no one is as eager to take it as Tejada was when he made his way to the high bidder. Plus, they now have the game's best pitching coach. Anyone who would turn on his team like Tejada has looks like a bad risk to us, even if his $72 million contract seems pretty reasonable right now. Of course, he'll probably be linked to the Red Sox right away."

For someone who said "he shows up everyday." He's a crybaby who is turing his back on a team after 2 years and badmouthing them in the press. We all know how things tend to go not so well around here in Cubland...what will he be saying after a few "disappointing" seasons with the Cubs? Forget him. He's trouble. Get a good RF.

Cub fans are like construction workers oogling any good looking chick in a tight skirt who happens to walk by. Might be nice to look at and think about.....but you probably dont REALLY wanna be married to her.

Plus he'd probably give steriods to everyone in the clubhouse disguised as cheese dip or something

God, people flip out about the stupidest stuff.

No, Todd Walker is not anywhere near as valuable a player as Tejada, but offensively, they are just about historically equal. You can ignore the facts with whatever cliche "he just produces!" or "he's so clutch!" sayings you want, but the facts are Walker is offensively, just about equal to Tejada. Now, if you want to say that Walker doesnt stay healthy, or that Tejada plays a much more valuable position, that's true.

Of course, no one that pointed out the Walker/Tejada thing was saying that.

Can't see Baltimore dealing Tejada to a rival.

Pie, Williams & Cedeno for Tejada. Heck, throw in Novoa too.

Still have Walker, Patterson & Hill to deal.

Posted
Todd Walker being a better ballplayer than Tejada is just plain laughable.

Are you reading this thread at all?

YOU USED SELECTIVE STATS SO HE'S USING SELECTIVE READING

Btw, rocket, that's your best post so far.

Could I please wake up to this tomorrow? (Keep in mind - its FAKE)

Miguel Tejada - SS - Orioles

Miguel Tejada said Thursday he is so happy with the Orioles' decision to allow him to be traded. "I've been with the Orioles for two years and things haven't gone in the direction that we were expecting, so I think the best thing will be a trade to the Northside of Chicago," he said in a phone interview. Cubs GM Jim Hendry has reportedly called the Orioles to inquire about the availability of the all-star shortstop. The Cubs would likely have to part with Neifi Perez and Jerry Hairston and two top pitching prospects such as Todd Wellemeyer and Jon Koronka.

My early prediction: He ends up on the Red Sox in a 3-way deal for Manny.

With the Red Sox in the market for a SS, I'm not sure a 3-way is even needed. Send Manny to the Orioles and Tejada to the Red Sox.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRADE CLAUSE!

Both those guys are asking to be traded, who has the NTC, Manny?

I changed it to from pm to am. It's still only 6:37am CST though. With all this snow, my two mile trip on LSD tomorrow morning may take a little longer, so I'll probably need to be out the door at 6:37am CST.

I was just on another message board where they were advocating trading Aram for Miggy. Someone told me I was dumb when I posted that Aram was a better hitter.

Yes, Manny has 10/5 status. Why would Manny want to go to Baltimore?

That's actually an interesting trade idea. I don't know if it makes sense for the Cubs but the player exchange is interesting.

Tripping on LSD that early in the morning? Dude, you may need professional help...

I've got plenty of help, my shrink supplies me with the dosage.

Walker

Tejada

Abreu
