and how many people were pissed when Hendry didn't get him last season?

Not guilty.

But for Benitez... yeah.

Who knows how he would have pitched for us last year...The Braves made a good trade at that time....It didn't work out but on the day of the trade it was looked at like a good move....

By the way the Braves still made the playoffs....

and how many people were pissed when Hendry didn't get him last season? I would take Looper over him....

I was a little disappointed.

Let's just hope he continues his Atlanta form in MIL because we will see him more often.

I'll admit that I wanted him, but I wasn't pissed because I thought the Braves offered a better deal than the Cubs should have.

Rotoworld's spin:

MLB radio is reporting that Danny Kolb has been dealt back to the Brewers for Wes Obermueller.

It seems to us that it would have made a lot more sense to wait until he was non-tendered by Atlanta, something that was sure to happen. Kolb made $3.4 million last season and couldn't receive less than $2.72 million in arbitration. Maybe the Brewers can work something else out with him. If anyone can straighten him out, it would seem to be Mike Maddux, the pitching coach who helped mold him into a reliable closer in the first place. Of course, the Brewers won't want Kolb to do any closing next season. Dec. 7 - 6:59 pm et

I didnt expect Kolb to be bad last year. Especially when he's a reliever in a Braves uniform, and at Turner Field.

But hey, it turned out alright for Cubs, since Dempster is awesome.

The Brewers continued to work on a much bigger deal involving first baseman Lyle Overbay that could involve two other clubs before all is said and done. Toronto continues to push for a deal with Overbay and have offered first baseman/third baseman Shea Hillenbrand and a young pitcher, perhaps right-hander Dave Bush or a top minor league prospect such as David Percy or Zach Jackson.

The Brewers are looking primarily for pitching help, however, and would look to send Hillenbrand to another club, possibly Minnesota. The Twins are looking for offense and are shopping pitchers such as starter Kyle Lohse and left-handed reliever J.C. Romero.

"We’d like to get pitching back," said Melvin. "It has to be pitching we feel good about, that our scouts like. We’re not looking for guys who will help us three or four years down the road."
