I'm sorry if this has been posted. I looked on the first few pages and didn't see anything... Search feature has been disabled.

The Tacoma News Tribune is also reporting that the Mariners have offered Kevin Millwood $44 million over four years and says the two sides could be close to a deal.

The deal may include an option for a fifth year and added incentives. Just one year ago, Millwood signed a deal that guaranteed him $3 million. If the Mariners thought he was such a good bet to stay healthy, where were they then?

Rotoworld.

Suddenly, with this market, Burnett was looking like a bargain...

Somebody made a feel-good topic on Cards Talk. I read:

"Hey, if we can't land Burnett, why not try and get Millwood? He'd probably cost about $5-6 million per year."

If Millwood signs with Mariners it leaves Hendry with two options for a free agent starting pitcher Weaver and Washburn .

I honestly prefer this place to Cards Talk. Yeah, more people post there, but for the most part, they're morons.

Instead of realists, I like to call them "real-less."

It's just every single move -- be it a signing, a missed opportunity, a loss, a bad game by a player -- spawns knee-jerk reactions out of most of them.

There are plenty of great and insightful posters, but it does seem that there are a plehtora of dumbarses to go with 'em.

Good job with the spelling when pointing out how stupid others are. I'll let this one slide, Cards boy...

And that never, ever happens here.

For those of you don't know where that came from, this is my most recent pic. I took in '98 before I went to see Mac launch one against the Cubs:

I'd take Weaver if he's willing to take a Millwood like deal (1 year, $5-7M) in order to get a bigger payday next year. Boras did that with Millwood and it is paying off big time.

ESPN News claims that Seattle management reported that the 4 year, $44 million offer was "greatly exaggerated," and that they were looking to bring back Jamie Moyer, anyway...
