    God, this is so pathetic. Hendry, please do us all a favor and get rid of Dusty. It might be the spark the cubs need. I seriously don't know how much of this pathetic baseball I can take. It's that bad.

    Where do we draw the line? Is it Baker and his coaches and they're inability to get the team to play good fundamental baseball or is it Hendry's recently poor decisions in acquiring the talent that can play that type of game? Personally, I think it's both. There's a good chance we can fall to 4th place within our division by the end of the week. That's not good. I find it amazing that I began this thread as a criticism of the performance of some of the players on this team and it gets back to being either Hendry or Baker's fault. This team is the same team it has been all year, ie the one Hendry assembled and the one Baker has to work with. This team stinks right now because players aren't performing. Period. Quit making escuses for these guys. Barrett is not new to the catching position. Patterson doesn't hit, no matter where he is in the lineup. Etc. This team failures are ones of performance and execution. I'm not making excuses for the guys, I think some of them need to go, but we have too many of the same type of player and that is a problem.

    I actually find it kind of ridiculous that we are weeks away from the All-Star game and we still don't have a set lineup.

    Hendry's lack of moves during free agency + Baker's lack of managerial skills= Cubs Suck

    I don't even think Dusty can manage players. Look at the blowups last year. Look at the lack of concentration. Dusty is worthless.

    We're going to become sellers no doubt. We have a horrible lineup, and our pitching hasnt been as good. This is another disgusting season by the Cubs.

    I was talking to my Dad last night about this. If we get swept by the Braves we're 7 out of Wild Card with a bunch of teams in front of us. At what point do we turn into sellers? I would think we should know the answer after this road trip.

    I personally find Len and Brenly enjoyable to listen to. Sure, Brenly is no Stone but the difference between the two isn't as far as some of you make it sound.

    Yeah, at first it was pathetic but you cant blame the team for the loss though. Really? Was some other team out there wearing Cub uniforms? The fact is they came back to tie the game but ended up losing by other forms. This wasnt a team loss, but more a loss thanks to Walker. We came back twice to tie the game, at that point that's all you can ask. Regardless though. We are still a pathetic team if you ask me, and Dusty is the problem.

    I was against the Burnitz acquisition, but Burnitz has done a pretty good job. Even so, this team still has some serious issues and my prediction of us not making the playoffs looks more and more real by the day.

    The fact is Hendry has never made the right moves during the offseason where it counts.
