  1. Marshall deserves it good for him.
  2. The problem is, what strong well known offensive mind is going to want to come to Chicago with the organization seemingly in chaos. Lovie is essentially the GM and the coach as it has come to light that he's influenced draft selections in the past and now gets to have a say in the interviewing process for a GM. If anything, the Bears have bungled the firing of a GM. Agreed. If you're going to fire Angelo and Martz then you most certainly need to fire Lovie
  3. Not a bad haul. Somebody ranked Torryes as 11th in our system. So for him a 5th starter and a 4th OF for Marshall sounds like a pretty good deal.
  4. Low risk move and if he can bounce back he could fetch us a nice prospect during the trade deadline.
  5. If that's the case the deal will be a solid win. I just didn't want Wood being the only primary piece we were getting back.
  6. Who cares about pitching depth when your team isn't going to be any good?
  7. What the heck do they see in Travis Wood to make this deal?
  8. I wanted him to re-sign with the cards. That way in 3-4 years when his numbers start getting bad his contract would be a handcuff to them.
  9. Cubs to work out Cespedes http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20111113&content_id=25964854&vkey=news_chc&c_id=chc

  13. OMG! Best thing to happen to the Cubs in a long time! I'm so glad the BS is over and what a job by Ricketts to put all this together for the club. This is HUGE
  14. JeffPassan Jeff Passan I loved Theo Epstein going to the Cubs. Getting Jed Hoyer's like splitting aces and hitting two face cards. As I said: Cubs, sleeping giant. 24 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply

  16. It seems every writer has at least one source. Must be a pretty big bargaining table.
  17. WTF. This is getting ridiculous
  18. The reality is Ricketts has given the go ahead to essentially sign as many over slot guys as possible in the draft. Just by doing that our chances of stocking up the farm with top prospects significantly increase.
  19. Friedman dining with Angels owner? http://www.draysbay.com/2011/10/20/2502008/mlb-rumors-andrew-friedman-dining-angels-owner-arte-moreno
