  1. Perez pitched pretty well although his fastball was at 86mph. He was able to throw in the mid 90s just two years ago.
  2. Doesn't mean they can't eliminate us though.
  3. A player from Team Mexico hit a homer which hit off the foul pole yet none of the umpires saw it. They got together and decided to call it a ground rule double. You can see the yellow paint on the ball that was hit.
  4. Talk about tainted. Why should other countries play in the WBC when every close call goes the US's way? I'm rooting for US and all but this is beyond ridiculous.
  5. If he comes out I want Aldridge.
  6. If things aren't working out you change them. Hendry, Baker and his entire staff have to go.
  7. As was pointed out, he was already going to be on a different throwing program and he wasn't in shape because of his illness (and I think a couple of pictures would back that up). And the important thing is that it was a throwing program. He was pitching. Pitchers don't do that if they're injured He also had this to say: Prior always does the towel drill. You can see him do it at Wrigley before he pitches. And the "weak and sick" comment just backs up the idea that he was out of shape and still not 100%, thus a different program. To suggest that they knew about this injury over three weeks ago means that they're complete (and I do mean complete) idiots in regards to this whole injury situation. You do not have a pitcher throw and throw off the mound for weeks if you know he has a shoulder injury. That would be nothing short of idiotic (just shy of eating worms during recess). Is that an allegation that you'd really make? They had NO problem allowing Wood to go out there and pitch when they knew he had shoulder issues and should be shut down immediately. This organization is about as incompetent as it gets. Here's hoping that Hendry and Baker are goners after this upcoming season. This is ridiculous.
  8. Sounds like the injury to Prior could be serious. No wonder Hendry was so willing to trade him for Tejada and no wonder the Orioles declined the offer. I'm getting sick of our injury prone players. It's to the point where it might be time to cut bait with these guys, and yes I do believe 2003 has a lot to do with the injuries to Wood and Prior.
  9. What a bunch of scammers this organization is. They keep everything hush hush until they sell their damn tickets and BAM..they hit you with the bad news.
  10. Coincidence? Yeah right. More BS from this organization, what else is new.
  11. Baker being here is a bad thing for this organization.
  12. Culpepper is too inconsistent for my liking.
  13. Why? I would've liked to see Brees here. I would have liked it as well, but does it make sense to be mad that he's not? And has he signed yet? It sounded like New Orleans was ready to give him a ton of cash, and can offer a wide open QB position. The Bears don't have a wide open QB position, nor do they have a reason to spend big on another QB. And when you take into account Brees' injury, it didn't make much sense for the Bears. I'm def not mad and I'm actualy kind of glad they are not spending their money on 2nd tier players but getting a better QB would have been nice.
  14. Dontrelle hasn't pitched that great when he has started.
  15. Why? I would've liked to see Brees here.
  16. So much for this game. We are done for.
  17. As long as Neifi isn't starting at SS or 2B, I'll be happy.
  18. I think in this case it's just not the bat in question, it is also the defense.
  19. Walker is pretty good offensively but it's his mouth that probably make management think low of him.
  20. So anyway... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/football/nfl/03/13/bc.fbn.redskins.freeage.ap/index.html That's great. Not a big Archuleta fan. I love the Redskins theory of just spending on big names. That method has never worked. Pittsburgh, New England, Denver, St. Louis have won all the recent Super Bowls with predominately drafted and developed talented. Yeah, I'm slightly dissapointed that we haven't got any impact players. On the other hand, the players available that fit our needs really weren't outstanding (i.e El and AA). I'd rather spend nothing than sign mediocre players to massive long term contracts. I'd be happy if we signed Drummond to do returns. I totally agree with you. I'm not really a fan of the players the skins signed. Drew Brees would be nice though even though I'm really high on Grossman.
  21. I'll tell you what. Encarnacion's defense has been suspect in this game. Jones over him might have been a good idea.
  22. Too controversial for me to enjoy it as much now.
