  1. If you're talking about Cade, he couldn't start for my little brothers 5th grade pop warner team. I think he's talking about Josh McCown.
  2. Who's to the right of Barrett in that picture? Is it Todd Jones? To Barrett's right yes it is.
  3. Not a good sign for our offense either.
  4. I wonder if they can be fined for comments like that.
  5. What is the point of having Boeringher on this team?
  6. I don't know about all that. Some of those were close but looked more outside than anything.
  7. Can somebody explain to me how playing LF would make him more valuable? He's a good hitting 2B, but as an OF, he's hardly special. It's not that hard to find a decent OF bat, it is hard to find a good 2B bat. If he was a utility man, I could see the flexibility as something that could add to his value. But his next team is not going to be paying him to be a utility man. They are going to pay him because of what he did as an everyday middle infield. If he gets 10-12m per in a multi-year deal, he'd be highly overpaid as a OF. I was going to ask the same thing. Vance and I were discussing that a while back. I just don't see it. I kind of think Soriano is justified in his demands. i don't remember him approving the trade in the first place and then the new team (which he has no loyalty to whatsoever at this point) asks him to give up a couple million dollars in FA by changing position? He hasn't handled it very well, but he could have a legitimate gripe. When that team is paying you 10mil, you do have to have some sort of loyalty.
  8. It irritates me knowing Neifi is on the team for this upcoming season.
  9. So after all of that Welly only gave up one run? Did Williamson help him out?
  10. Marshall maxed out at 93 from what I remember. Ryu was around 91. Eyre 91-92.
  11. I was really impressed with Marshall and Ryu. Nasty curves.
  12. Isn't this the 2nd time Guzman will be pitching? If so, do we expect to see more than 2 innings from him?
  13. Agreed, I don't see him trading up to get Davis although that would have been nice.
  14. So did the heavy workload to Wood and Prior in 2003 have something to do with their injuries every year? I think it's very possible.
  15. Bowden makes the trade and doesn't ask Soriano if him playing in the OF would be a problem? Pretty dumb move. At the same time I don't like the approach Soriano is taking either. If it was up to me I would leave him on the bench until he decides to be a team player and take one for the team by playing the OF. I would be dissapointed if we ended up with a me-first player like Soriano.
  16. C'mon man. So if this surgery happened 2 weeks ago the Cubs wouldn't have sold 597,000 tickets? Cubs tickets will sell with or without Kerry. Maybe, just maybe, they didn't do the surgery sooner because they didn't know he needed it at that point. Considering the BS this organization has spewed recently anything is possible.
